Absolute Dance of Wellington

Established more than 26 years ago, Wellingtons most successful dance studio changed its name to Absolute Dance of Wellington in May 2005. Based in a 3000sq ft air conditioned facility with sprung flooring and observation camera surveillance in both studios we are three minutes west of the Wellington Green Mall. With a team of over 15 highly qualified teachers specializing in dance styles from ballet to hip hop. The Studio is co-owned by Cheryl Alker and JJ Butler whose combined backgrounds encompass unsurpassed knowledge in all aspects of running a professional dance studio. Most important, however, is their desire that every child has a positive experience at Absolute Dance whether it be a two year old taking their first Mommy and Me class to an 18 year old dancer wishing to perform in the future with the New York City Ballet. We pride ourselves on offering a variety of classes aimed at our younger, inexperienced and experienced dancers alike. Our classes range from Mommy & Me, Pre-K, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Acro and, like our Dance Company, are based on ability and not age. We feel a dancer should be placed where he/she will develop and grow, no dancer should feel intimidated or indeed held back due to being placed in a class not suitable for his/her ability.
